4th edition of Film Festival SPEKTRUM in Świdnica is going to be the next meeting with the best cinema from last couple of months and with its creator. Our event is an artistic cinema celebration where we watch the most interesting movies from passing season in Poland, Europe and all over the world. SPEKTRUM is characterized by strict selection and careful choices. During the festival we will watch about 40 short and full length movies.
In the framework of the Festival we’d like to invite you to the Main Competition where will be showing 10 best premieres of current season and where audience will be the jury. We will be showing the images of Poland made by modern creators who are serving us rich observations, wide spectrum of subjects and variety of form. Thanks to all of this we can be ensured in belief that polish cinema has reached very high level. Summing up foreign productions that made it into the competition is a little bit harder, but as always it’s a set that brings us wide range of emotions and film genders.
In the Competition of Short Polish Films the award (5000 PLN) is given by the professional Jury (created by: Przemysław Chruścielewski, Błażej Hrapkowicz and Emilia Mazik). We have 10 short movies from Poland that are fighting for the prize. The selection was made by the Festivals curators among short movies created in the years 2017-2018. All of them are less than 30 minutes long and we can find in this set some classical fiction films, musicals that lean a bit into the experimental side and animations.
In addition, the Festival will also held many Q&As with filmstars, discussions and accompanied events. All of this under this year’s watchword: ’#odkuchni’ (eng. ’behind the scenes’). We will take a look at what’s out of reach for the regular viewer. Come on and join us in discovering the cinema in it’s full spectrum!
See you in Świdnica!
