Call for films

The Spectrum International Film Festival invites you to participate in The Youth Perspective short film competitions! Young filmmakers - professional and non-professional - can submit their films in four categories: fiction, documentary, animation and amateur competition. The call for submissions will last until June 27.

The Spectrum presents both full-length and short films. The event, since its inception, has been a space to meet people who love and celebrate cinema. Since 2024, the event has been held in the Polish city of Swidnica and the Czech city of Trutnov. This year’s edition will take place between October 21 and 26.

Until June 27, young filmmakers can submit their short films in four competition sections to be presented at this year’s festival in Swidnica and Trutnov:

The Youth Perspective – Short Fiction
The Youth Perspective – Documentary
The Youth Perspective – Animation
Amateurs Competition The Youth Perspective

The Youth Perspective: Short Fiction – Documentary – Animation are dedicated to filmmakers up to the age of 35. The Amateurs Competition The Youth Perspective is intended for authors taking their first steps in the world of cinema and short films. Only people up to 21 years of age, who are not film school students, may enter the amateur competition. The length of films in each category must not exceed 30 minutes.

The winners of all competitions will be selected by a three-member Jury, which will include representatives of the film and art world, thus indicating which directors and filmmakers are worth watching in the coming years. In addition, emphasizing the unique character of the festival, the films will also be judged by a Jury composed of members of local communities.

Film submissions are accepted exclusively via FilmFreeway:
