ŚCC under renovation. Where will the screenings take place?

The cinematic heart of Spektrum has always been beating in the theatre hall of the Świdnica Cultural Centre, while in the evenings audiences would gather at Bolko Club for side events – dances, concerts, or the legendary bingo nights. The 10th edition of the festival was held in a building hidden under scaffolding while its façade was being renovated. Since July, locals have been able to admire the restored exterior, and now it is time for the theatre’s interior. The ongoing works will modernize the stage, auditorium, foyer, and technical rooms. The venue will also become more accessible to people with disabilities and gain new equipment.

Because of this, in 2025 the Polish section of the Spektrum Film Festival will be held in the auditorium of the First High School in Świdnica (30 Pionierów Ziemi Świdnickiej St.). That is where all festival screenings as well as meetings with filmmakers will take place. Although the location will change, the atmosphere of the event will remain the same, and the quality of its program will be no different from previous editions. And in the evenings we will still meet at Bolko Club, says Bożena Kuźma, Director of the Świdnica Cultural Centre.
