Titles Competing in the The Youth Perspective Competitions

As many as 49 short films have been selected for this year’s The Youth Perspective competitions!

A total of 859 submissions from around the world were received for this year’s edition. After long deliberations, the selectors chose 49 films that will be screened in October during the festival — for the second time in the auditorium of the 1st High School in Świdnica, and also for the second time at Kino Vesmir in Trutnov, Czech Republic. It’s a unique mix of short fiction, documentaries, and animations—ranging from professional productions to first creative attempts made outside of film schools.

The films will be judged both by an industry jury, consisting of professionals connected with film and art, and by local juries — the participants of occupational therapy workshops in Mokrzeszów (short fiction), inmates of the Świdnica Detention Center (documentaries), and members of the Świdnica Youth City Council (amateur competition). They will present special awards that stand out not only for their artistic value but also for their emotional impact on the audience.
