Adolf Zika
Czech photographer, film director, and producer. He is one of the most distinctive figures in Czech nude photography after 1989. He gained international recognition primarily for his artistic and fashion photography, especially his black-and-white nudes and portraits characterized by unusual yet appealing composition, strong aesthetics, and emotional depth. As a commercial photographer, he has contributed to numerous campaigns for renowned fashion brands. In 1995, he won the first edition of the Czech Press Photo competition for professional photographers, and five years later, he was also honored by Leica and Olympus.
In 1999, he founded his own production company, Zipo Film Production, through which he has produced and directed more than 200 television commercials, over fifty short documentary programs, ten full-length documentary features, and two fiction feature films. Adolf Zika is the author of ten photographic books and the creator of thirty original art calendars.
