Born on May 18, 1978 in Wrocław. She graduated from cultural studies and directing at WRiTV UŚ in Katowice. Repeatedly awarded for short fiction films. In 2015, she made her debut with The Lure, which brought her the award for the best debut at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia and the Eagle in the Discovery of the Year category, as well as several dozen awards in the world, incl. in Porto, Sofia, Montreal, Vilnius and at the Sundance Film Festival, where the film received a Special Award for its unique vision and design. She took part in the European Cinema: Ten Women Filmmakers to Watch program. Winner of the Global Filmmaking Award funded by the Sundance Institute. Her second feature film The Fugue premiered in Cannes as part of the prestigious Critics’ Week section.
Silent Twins is her third full-length film and her first fully English-language production.
