Festival & Distribution Manager from Prague. She mainly helps independent filmmakers, young talents, world sales companies and film schools. She builds festival strategies for short / animated / students’ films and films for children and youth. She deals with festivals, distributors, world wide sales companies, represents films in major film markets, handles all logistics from submissions to shipping and simply maximizes films’ exposure. She also helps to develop and curate festival programs and gives lectures related to festival distribution topics. Thanks to her you could see short films at major festivals, such as Cannes Film Festival, Berlinale, Annecy, Clérmont- Ferrand, Sundance, Visions Du Réel or the Academy Awards.
She has been working for 8 years at the film school FAMU, where she established the first SVOD film school platform in Europe, call FAMUfilms.cz
She has considerable marketing communication & events experience in both higher education and the private sector and has worked as head of communications departments for the Faculty of Science, Charles University, Prague, the Czech Technical University, Eurotel, Vodafone, Philips, CERN or at important culture festivals in the Czech Republic. Alexandra had studied Theory and History of Film and Audio-visual Culture at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague.
