Damian Kosowski

Born in 1993 in Radomsko. Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts at the Faculty of Visual Arts and the Film School in Lodz (PWSFTviT) at the Faculty of Film and Television Directing. Scholarship holder at the Higher School of Fine Arts in Bratislava (VŠVU), INSAS Film and Theater School in Brussels, Was On Screen program in France. He is the author of 13. short films. His third-year etude Before I fall asleep has been screened at more than 30 festivals around the world and received several awards, including the CANAL + award for best feature etude at the Youth and Film festival and the grand prize at the prestigious Lucca Film Festival, which pits the best etudes from film schools across Europe against each other.

His school diploma, entitled Creature, won the Silver Tadpole at the 2022 Energa Camerimage Festival and the award for the best film from the shortlist section at the 2023 New Horizons Festival. In 2024, he made a film titled People and Things, which is produced by Studio Munk and the French festival War on Screen as part of the WOS Fabrique program for young promising directors. The film is beginning its festival run. He is currently working on his full-length feature debut titled The Frog King. He has participated in many exhibitions in Poland and Europe.
