David Brabec
Since 1998, he has been closely cooperating with the Finále Plzeň film festival, which is a balance competition showcase of Czech and Slovak feature, animated, documentary and television movies. He worked for the festival in the program department (as a program coordinator and as a member of the selection committee for the documentary film competition), now he is mainly engaged in moderating talks and discussions.
He was involved in the creation of the Regional Film Office of the Pilsen Region and was the initiator of the creation of the Subsidy Title of the Pilsen Region for Audiovisual Support. He collaborated on a number of other festivals (Serial Killer, Slavonice Fest, Animánie, Juniorfest).
He is also engaged in teaching activities – he is lecturing on film history for the fourth year at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen.
Since November 2023, he has been a member of the Council of Czech Television.
