Polish born French independent producer and the founder of Kometa Films. She is a graduate of Lodz Film School (Poland). She has been an EAVE member since 2019 and of ACE Series Special since 2021. In 2008, she created Kometa Films to propose films and series from a disruptive point of view on modern society, through innovative forms freed from conventional representations, for a pluralist public. Kometa Films is set up in Paris and in Orléans (Centre Val de Loire). In addition to her activities at Kometa Films, Edyta Janczak- Hiriart produces feature films between France and Poland. In 2014, she acted as a line producer on Fidelio, Odyssée d’Alice by Lucie Borleteau (Why Not Productions/Apsara Films), in 2017 she produced Grand froid, Gérard Pautonnier’s first feature film, with Elzévir Films (European co-production between France, Belgium and Poland) and is currently producing several projects with SHIPsBOY (Poland)
such as Les enfants rouges, Lotfi Achour’s second feature film (international co-production between France, Tunisia, Belgium and Poland). In 2021, she produced Anatomia by Ola Jankowska in coproduction with Opus Film (Poland) which premiered in Venice Mostra 2021 in Venice Days selection, and By Flavio by Pedro Cabeleira, in coproduction with Primeira Idade (Portugal) which premiered in Berlinale Official Competition 2022.
