Kamila Urzędowska

Born in a small town in southern Poland. In 2020, she graduated from the AST National Academy of Theatre Arts in Wrocław. While still a student, she made her screen debut in the leading role in the Canal+ series Żmijowisko. She then appeared in the award-winning feature 25 Years of Innocence, directed by Jan Holoubek. Her breakthrough came with the role of Jagna in The Peasants, directed by Oscar-winning filmmakers DK and Hugh Welchman. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and was selected as Poland’s official submission for the 2023 Academy Awards in the Best International Feature Film category. Kamila’s performance earned her a nomination for Best Actress at the 48th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia and the ELLE Crystal Star Award.

In February 2024, she was named a European Shooting Star at the Berlinale, recognizing her as one of Europe’s most promising young actors. Later that year, she received the Golden Angel Award for European Actress Bella Woman at the Tofifest International Film Festival. In 2025, she was cast as Izabela Łęcka in the highly anticipated new film adaptation of The Doll by Bolesław Prus — one of the most awaited Polish film productions in recent years. Her recent screen credits also include Przepiękne and Wujek Foliarz. The latest film featuring her, The Altar Boys, won the Golden Lions for Best Film and several other awards at the 49th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, confirming her status as one of the most talented and compelling actresses of her generation.
