Michał Ciechomski

Graduated from film directing at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Academy in Katowice and Aerospace Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology. Holder of multiple scholarship of the Minister, Rector and laureate of MŁODA POLSKA in 2021. Winner of Papaya Young Directors in 2018. Awarded and nominated at the largest Polish and foreign festivals, such as: EnergaCamerImage, Warsaw Film Festival, Krakow Film Festival, Youth and Film in Koszalin, Spektrum, Moscow Shorts and Gdynia Film Festival.

He gained experience working with leading Polish directors, such as: Filip Bajon, Władysław Pasikowski, Krzysztof Zanussi, Maciej Pieprzyca, Andrzej Fidyk, Marcin Koszałka, Bartek Konopka and Jan
P. Matuszyński. Thanks to support of Krakow Film Foundation his films ‘Love’ and ‘Submission’ gained wider international promotion in 2020. Video producer and assistant director in the theater project ‘Es war einmal … das Lebe’ at the Schauspiel Staatstheater theater in Hanover, directed by Łukasz Twarkowski. One of the two directors of the documentary film ‘White Chief’- set in Europe and Africa, an international production co-financed by the Polish Film Institute and the European Media Group
