Was born in 1979 in Poland. He studied directing at Prague’s FAMU, where he gained attention with his short films Attempt (2005) and Mia (2006). In 2011, he won the Best Film Award and the Best Director Award at FAMUFEST for his graduate film Symptoms. His short film George the Dog, Refugee was awarded Best Screenplay at the Huesca Festival in Spain (2019), Special Mention of the National Competition at the Pragueshorts Festival (2020), Best Feature Short Film Award at the ÉCU Festival in Paris (2020) and other awards. In 2020, together with Tereza Nejedlá, he founded One Way Ticket Films, a production company which focuses on producing radical film experiments. In 2022, his debut feature film Borders of Love – which he directed, wrote and produced – had its world premiere at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Crystal Globe Competition, where it won the FIPRESCI prize. He currently lives in Prague.
