The kitchen of a major New York restaurant is like a microcosm, where the paths of a group of dreamers from around the world intersect. Their aspirations and desires painfully clash with the reality of a restaurant run with an iron hand. Young but experienced waitress Julia and talented chef Pedro must hide their relationship. The very young Estela is just entering this world. Max, who has worked there for years, is desperate to prove his talent. Nonzo dreams of bringing his family to New York. Overseeing them all is owner Rashid, who only cares about a smoothly running business. One morning, when the shift manager discovers a theft, everyone becomes a suspect.
