He is fiery, outspoken, magnetic. She is brave, tender, full of warmth. Jacek and Grażyna Kuroń are fiercely in love and certain that, together, they can change the world. They surrender the comforts of a private life to devote themselves to the struggle for freedom.

Their apartment becomes the beating heart of the opposition — a refuge, a command post, a place where people gather knowing they may risk everything for the promise of a better future. But every revolution exacts a price. Fleeting moments of intimacy give way to years of separation, as prison walls repeatedly tear them apart.

When martial law is declared, Jacek and Grażyna are forced into choices no one should ever have to make. Against a backdrop of repression, fear and sacrifice, their love is pushed to its limits.

Can love survive when history itself seems determined to break it?
