Closer to jurors
Start: 11:30 a.m.
When we think about the most colorful actors’ biographies at the end of the Polish People’s Republic and the beginnings of the Third Polish Republic, Katarzyna Figura always appears in this set. An actress who from the very beginning fascinated with her acting and attracted attention with her extraordinary presence. Although Figura began her screen career with episodic performances with Krzysztof Kieślowski and Wojciech Jerzy Has, her roles in Radosław Piwowarski’s ‘A Train to Hollywood’ brought a real breakthrough and in ‘Kingsaj’ by Juliusz Machulski. All of Poland paid attention to her, hailed as the ‘Polish Marylin Monroe’. Interest also came from abroad. The actress created a number of great characters in Polish cinema, both at a young age and later (including: ‘Zhoorek’ by Ryszard Brylski). Today he plays more often in the theater. How does she look at past creations? Are she still waiting for any specific film roles? We invite you to a special meeting with this year’s jury member of our festival. The interview will be conducted by the journalist of Radio Wrocław, Miłosława Bożek.
