We are calling for your films for Film Festival SPEKTRUM!
You can submit your films to four festival competitions for short movies:
The Youth Perspective – Short fiction
The Youth Perspective – Documentary
The Youth Perspective – Animation
The Youth Perspective – Amateurs
Selected short films (excluding the amateur competition) of Polish production will compete in the new Polish Competition.
Another new feature this year is the non-competitive section Midnight Shorts, showcasing selected films from The Youth Perspective competitions, blending horror, dark comedy, camp, and experimental cinema.
Emerging feature-length filmmakers may submit their films to the “1,2” Competition for Best First or Second Feature-Length Fiction Film.
The Youth Perspective
The short fiction, documentary and animation competitions are dedicated to filmmakers up to 35 years of age, and the amateur competition for directors up to 21 years of age. In all categories, movie length must not exceed 30 minutes.

“1,2” Competition
The Competition is open to individual creators or groups of creators from all over the world. The Competition is open to first and second films by a director completed after January 1, 2024, up to 120 minutes in length.

12th Film Festival Spektrum is organised by Świdnica Cultural Centre and Wrocław Film Foundation. This year’s edition will take place between October 20 and 25.

The jury in “1,2” Competition is Festival audience.
Best movie in each The Youth Perspective competition is selected by a three-person jury composed of representatives of the film and art industry.
Apart from the main jury, the films are also judged by the local jury:
Short Fictions are watched by participants of occupational therapy in Mokrzeszów.
Local jury of the documentary competition is composed of inmates in the Detention Center in Świdnica.
Animations are judged by participants of Animations with passion project.
Amateur competition – representatives of the Youth City Council of Świdnica.
Winner in Polish competition is chosen by jury of journalists.
