Ewa Skibińska

In 1986, she graduated from the Acting Department of the Wrocław branch of the Ludwik Solski State Drama School in Kraków. She made her debut as Krysia in the play “Historia” (1985) at the Wrocław Polish Theatre while still a student, and she became a permanent member of the theater. She portrayed several outstanding roles there, including Julia in “Śmierć Dantona” directed by Jacek Bunsch, Jana in “Pułapka” directed by Jerzy Jarocki, Mother Joanna in “Matka Joanna od Aniołów” directed by Feliks Falk, Kasia in “Kasia z Heilbronnu albo próba ognia” directed by Jerzy Jarocki, Lucy Zucker in “Ziemia obiecana,” and Tamora in “Tytus Andronikus” directed by Jan Klata. She also played Prospero in “Burza” and several characters in “Biesy” directed by Krzysztof Garbaczewski. She frequently appeared in Krystian Lupa’s productions, including the roles of Veronika in “Kuszenie cichej Weroniki,” Mariedl in “Prezydentki,” Natasza in “Azyl,” and Falaczi in “Poczekalnia. 0,” and Jeannie Billroth in “Wycinka. Holzfällen.” She also performed in productions by Monika Pęcikiewicz, Michał Borczuch, Paweł Miśkiewicz, and Ewelina Marciniak.

She has won numerous theater awards. She first appeared on the stage of the Teatr Powszechny in the dual role of Beloved Homeland and Republic Gajka in the play “Kuroń. Pasja według św. Jacka”; in February 2017, she permanently joined the ensemble of the Teatr Powszechny.
